CHLOE AND MARTIN
Venue: The Barn at Berkeley
Theme: Winter Foliage and Candlelit Magic
Chloe and Martin envisioned a magical winter wonderland for their December wedding at The Barn at Berkeley. They wanted the décor to be predominantly winter foliage, with flowers reserved for the bridal bouquets and the top table. The couple's focus on lush greenery, candlelight, and twinkling lights set the perfect tone for a cozy, festive celebration.
The Ceremony
Since the ceremony took place in a church, Chloe and Martin chose to keep the decor simple, reserving the main floral impact for the reception venue. We added mixed foliage bunches to the pew ends, giving the church a natural, understated touch. For the altar, a long and low floral arrangement adorned with winter greens set a beautiful focal point, which we later repurposed at the venue to carry the design through the day.
The Wedding Breakfast
To create texture and depth in the reception space, we designed a mix of gold candelabras and foliage rings, interspersed with ivory pillar and taper candles. This mix of elements created a soft, romantic glow throughout the room, with subtle movement between the different table designs. The top table was set in front of a grand fireplace, which we decorated with a classic blue spruce garland, accented with LED lights for a touch of sparkle, enhancing the warm and festive atmosphere.
Bridal Flowers
Chloe’s bouquet featured delicate white and oatmeal tones, which perfectly complemented her bridal gown. The understated elegance of her flowers also paired beautifully with the deep forest green bridesmaid dresses. The fragrant white freesia and the wintery scent of blue spruce added a subtle hint of Christmas magic to the day, filling the air with the spirit of the season.
