Elle and Scott
Venue: Highley Manor, Surrey
Theme: Colorful, Seasonal, and Fun
Elle and Scott came to us with a vibrant vision for their August wedding at the stunning Highley Manor in Surrey. Having gotten engaged on New Year’s Eve, they decided not to wait long before tying the knot, booking the venue for early August. Their request for colourful, seasonal, and playful florals provided a wonderful scope for creativity, and we couldn’t wait to bring their vision to life.
With the venue’s picturesque outdoor ceremony area, it was clear early on that the pergola would be the perfect focal point. We were thrilled that the weather was on our side, allowing us to adorn the pergola with an asymmetrical, fun, and colorful floral design. This created a stunning, framed backdrop for the couple as they exchanged vows and for the many photos captured after the ceremony.
The Ceremony
The Wedding Breakfast
For the reception, we used an eclectic mix of bottles filled with bright seasonal blooms to decorate the round tables. The playful mix of colours created a light and joyful atmosphere, perfect for a summer celebration. On the top table, we designed a lush floral runway cascading along the front, with a "just-picked" look. This wild, natural design intertwined beautifully with the bottles placed along each side, blending the table’s decor into one cohesive, vibrant centre piece.
Bridal Flowers
Elle’s bridal bouquet was all about being colourful, fun, delicate, and seasonal. We incorporated a stunning mix of white and pink cosmos, clematis, mini daisies, scented stocks, and garden roses. Not only was it visually vibrant, the bouquet also delivered a beautiful fragrance, giving the flowers a multi-sensory appeal that added to the day’s charm.
Repurposing Florals
With the venue’s restrictions on open flames, we opted to use LED pillar candles to add a soft, twinkling glow to the staircase. To maximise the beauty of the florals, we repurposed the arrangements from the pergola, using them to adorn the staircase. This allowed the stunning blooms to be enjoyed throughout the evening, adding a continuous floral element that flowed from the ceremony to the reception.
