The Mount Without,

St Michael Hill,Bristol

Designing wedding flowers for Sophie and Dan at The Mount Without promised to be a beautiful and enchanting experience. With their vision for a simple and elegant celebration, complemented by the warm glow of candlelight, we created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly aligned with the unique charm of this reclaimed church on St Michael's Hill in Bristol

Candlelight:

The venue was adorned with an abundance of candlelight, from pillar candles lining the aisle to votive candles scattered throughout the reception space. The warm, flickering glow added a touch of magic, creating the romantic atmosphere that Sophie and Dan envisioned.

For the ceremony space within The Mount Without, we envisioned soft drapery intertwined with delicate dusky blue and white florals, framing the aisle and altar. Elegant white blooms such as blue delphinium, roses, and ranunculus added a timeless touch. Pew ends adorned with subtle floral clusters in the chosen colour palette guided Sophie down the aisle, creating an atmosphere of understated elegance.

The Ceremony:

Reception:

As the celebration moved to the reception areas, the dusky blue and white colour palette was seamlessly integrated into the decor. Table centerpieces featuring white blooms in various heights, interspersed with flickering candlelight, created an inviting and intimate atmosphere. Dusky blue linens and subtle accents on the tables enhanced the overall aesthetic. The reclaimed and repurposed character of The Mount Without was celebrated with arrangements that enhanced its unique charm.

Bouquets and Boutonniere:

Sophie's bouquet was a vision of sophistication, combining dusky blue and white florals in a loose and elegant arrangement. Roses, anemones, and silver-dollar eucalyptus created a bouquet that was both timeless and romantic.

Dan's boutonniere was a delicate composition of white blooms, echoing the elegance of Sophie's bouquet. A touch of dusky blue ribbon tied the floral elements together, completing the cohesive look.

“Abby was an absolutely perfect choice our wedding florist.

At our initial consultation she was so helpful when showing the types of flowers which would suit the venue and time of year that we had chosen for our wedding. She showed examples of her previous work and also suggested and matched flowers to my inspiration pictures.

When you’re planning a wedding you’re often expected to know exactly what you want to every detail but specific flowers is not my speciality! Abby has such an extensive knowledge of flowers and was able to help me feel at ease when making such big decisions. Another brilliant addition is that Abby has lots of props and extras that we were able to use on the day- again, she really made our vision come to light.

Abby gave us very competitive pricing and was communicative throughout, again something that is really important when planning a wedding!

Our final flowers were exactly what I asked for and she did a perfect job on the day itself. I wasn’t able to double-check things before the ceremony started (which made me anxious), but Abby was there to check that everything was perfect on the big day (and also calmed my husbands nerves when sorting out his pocket flowers)!

We are so grateful for all the hard work Abby put in to make our wedding flowers, and extras perfect for our venue and for our day.

Thank you!”
